The gifs displayed here highlight various particle effects developed during the project. Although the bullet trail and smoke effects went unused, the dust particle effect, inspired by a similar effect in the game Overcooked during character sprints, was successfully incorporated into our game.

Below is a short video display of effects that have been made over the course of this project.

Art Coordination

In the course of this project, I collaborated extensively with our team’s artists. Given their limited familiarity with Unreal Engine, a significant aspect of my role involved translating metrics between the engine and Maya. This translation process was crucial for ensuring measurements of meshes, allowing for precise adjustments within the project.

The first image to the right illustrates the initial metrics I provided. These metrics capture the translated sizes of fundamental items utilized during the early stages of our development. These measurements served as a foundational reference point.

The second image features a straightforward box cutout, purposely crafted to provide our artists with a clear visual reference for the desired width and height specifications of our train model.
